So tonight was the band banquet. It was pretty fun and the food was great, and the jazz band sounded wonderful. The awards ceremony was beautiful as well as the slideshow. But what amazed me the most was how many freshman got awards. I got outstanding section member award as well as two other freshman, and alot of freshman won the marching award. Then they showed a slide show of pictures taken over the marching season. If you would like to see any go to http://backstagebham.com/Thompson%20High%20School.htm and go down to 2007 warrior football. There are pictures of the band and football team. On another note, I made an 88 on my geometry test. YYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, marching season finally ended. You would think that I would have more time in my schedule, but with honor band auditions coming up not to mention the relentless amount of concerts planned, I am still just as busy. We have an awards banquet coming up soon for the people that were in marching band and then we have a concert the next day (not to mention that we have individual pictures to be taken before the concert). I don't quite know how they are gonna take my picture, I don't think they will take a picture of me and my marimba.
Geometry sucks just as much as ever. The evil Mrs. Thomas (how she married is beyond me) has now begun looking for kids to be on the math team, and is freaking out about it. If that isn't enough, a week ago our school was on lockdown because they found some story on a bus about a shooting in a school. My class watched Napoleon Dynamite until the search dogs came in. While we were out in the hallway for that, I started joking around and the police started yelling at me even though it wasn't my fault because it was homecoming and a guy in my class was wearing a dress and fake boobs. The next day, I found out that one of my friends wrote the story.

Could anyone tell me the pros and cons of the stevens grip and the burton grip????
I am trying to work on my four mallet technique and I am not real sure which of the two I should use. Tue, Jul. 17th, 2007, 07:03 pm EVIL Mr. Brown
Band camp started monday. The band practices from 8-12, and the drumline practices from 8-5 with a one and a half hour lunch break. The drumline has 3 instructors (one who works with the snares and tenors, one who works with the basses, and one who works with the pit ). I play in the pit, ( that includes things like the xylophone, marimba, vibraphone, glockenspiel, and other stationary percussion equipment )so that means that my instructor is Mr. Brown. Mr. Brown is a very evil man. He gets all up in your face and yells at you and calls you stupid and makes fun of you in front oh the entire pit during practice. On top of that, they make you do crazy drills over and over and over. By the end of the day, I can't play because my fingers hurt so bad I can't hold my mallets (sticks) in my hands. Maybe when the drumline gets their music, it will be better.
I hate band camp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I am gonna die. I only marxhed for two hours today and I feel dead. On top of that, I had to go to some silly awards banquet (thank you president bush for giving all the nerds in america stupid awards) grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. On the other hand, none of the man boob guys have touched me in a while (thank you god). I finally posted. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Lita, you don't have ADD because my brother does, and you are nothing like him (unless you have gone physco since I last saw you).
I got back from the band trip at 5:30 this morning, after we had driven all night. It wasn't that great. One of the girls I was walking with would say she wanted to ride something and then she would chicken out when we got to the line and no one else but me would want to ride the ride so I couldn't ride anything. I was asleep on the bus, and when I woke up I had starburst wrappers all over me along with some change, so I need to kill some extra people when I kill that cheerleader to get her uniform ( Hey Lita, when is Milo gonna save me?!?!?!?). In other news, Danny came back to were I was sitting on the bus before we left last night. He was leaning over my row of seats talking to me and other people I was sitting with. We were talking about the CRAZY girl who wouldn't ride anything (Kasey) and I was looking up at him to hear what he was saying. My allergies were acting up so I couldn't hear or breath through my nose (so my mouth was wide open) and then Danny spit while he was talking. It wouldn't have been so bad if I had just gotten sprayed, but noooooooooo, the spit had to get in my mouth. Then I start freaking out saying " he spit in my mouth he spit in my mouth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( all this is said with my tongue hanging out of my mouth so that I don't swallow it ). Then he grabbed my hat (which made my head tilt back ) and he spit again. No one had any toothpaste or mouthwash in their carry-on bags, so I had to sit there with his spit in my mouth ( I swearrrrrr, I thought that I felt diseases forming in my mouth). Then he gave me a dollar for getting on the good side of the girl he says he's in love with, so you can imagine what the people sitting on the bus thought. Then when we stopped to get some food, the girl I was sitting with ( Sarah ) told everyone we talked to that Danny spit in my mouth. I am afraid to go back to school on monday and see how many people know what happened.
My brother might be coming home on monday ( he is my user pic ) so at least monday won't be so bad. I think that I might be coming down to Forida again. If I remember correctly we should come down there soon ( I'll have to check). Only 4 weeks of school left and band camp starts at the beginning of may ( great, as if I don't spend enough time with Danny and Stephen already). I'll be sending some pictures down there soon ( hopefully I'll be able to hand deliver them). I need to go and pass out, I still don't feel my feet so I need to pass out. Bye for now

I am still at my dad's house. We have been doing the whole geek thing(video games, computer games, Star Wars, and etc.). I think that I had to much sugar or something because I had the weirdest dream last night. I dreamed that I had somehow managed to make bass drum in my drumline audition(which was horrible, I made a complete fool of myself {it must have been funny for the two guys I auditioned for though}.) And I was putting the drum on and went to the middle of the field, but I couldn't carry it for long so the drum fell and started to roll around with me on it (around, and around the field she goes). I guess that this was some REM of my post last night because Danny and Stephen (the man boob guys) came and "saved" me (I know Lita is gonna make a Heroes reference to that). After that, Lita and Christina appeared out of thin air (poof!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and they levitated me (another Heroes reference) to a hospital where everyone else from Florida was. Then we all watched a video of what had happened to me. Then Danny and Stephen showed up again (why do "they" keep popping up in "my" dream). Then Danny pulled out his trumpet and him and Paul had some kind of trumpet contest (what is wrong with me). Then I ran away from the hospital and everyone chased after me. Then I woke up(thank god). But enough about me, let's hear how Bobina is doing. THE TALE OF BOBINA One day, Bobina was going to her friends house. While she was walking, a mysterious black hole/portal thingy came and sucked her up. When it was finished, Bobina found that she was in Christina's magical unicorn world. She started to walk around. After a little while, she found a table where Dr. Bob and Mrs. Pizzarro were having tea and crumpets. They invited her to come sit down with them. While Bobina was nibbling on a crumpet, some evil unicorns started to attack them. No one knew what to do, so they all started to do what came natural to them. Dr. Bob started to dance around like Micheal Jackson and chase after little boy unicorns. Mrs. Pizarro pulled out her magical conductor stick and started to talk about kool-aid. Bobina ran as fast as she could. She ran for a long time, just like Forest Gump. Then she slowed down until she came to a stop. Then she looked up and saw ...........................................
(I'll have to think of an ending tonight. I am to lazy to think of one now)
Believe it or not, I am terrified of band camp. For one, when I had drumline practice( with some hot{sizzle sizzle} guys might I add) they made us march in place and I couldn't do it and play at the same time( no surprise there). Two, I am gonna die because band camp last all day( can you imagine me running around carrying a drum or cymbals all day without hearing the death march in your head). Three, two of my guy friends, that are in band, won't stop flirting with me. It's horrible. I see them in almost every class and people think that I am going out with them (this is terrible because one looks like Mario from Mario and Luigi and the other is a life sized pillsberry doughboy{might I add that each of them need a bra} ) (ggggggrrrrrrrrrroooooooooosssssssss *makes a face disgust*).
Everyone writes stories on here, so I have decided to write one myself.
KATIE AND THE DEADLY BAND CAMP One day, Katie(a very funny, talented, smart, crackhead) was going to band camp. She had to do push-ups, pull-ups, jumpin jacks, and sit ups all day long. Then her friends starting (Danny and Stephen) started to flirt woth her. Then she died.
hahahahahahahahahahahaha (not)
I feel so stupid (but that's not unusual). I haven't been on the computer in days (I need brain food) so i haven't goten anything done. I finally decided to kick my brother off of the computer so I could type my research paper (that was the best thing the Thompson english department could come up with, writing a research paper; and they wonder why the students act like hillbillies. I got a 100 only because I was a teachers pet and wrote about something the teacher liked{who knew hypnosis would interest a guy that looks like he hangs out with Micheal Jackson}.) and then I checked my e-mail and all that good stuff. My spring break has been uneventfull so far. I have watched t.v. and passed out on the couch(that doesn't surprise me). At least my band trip is next week. We are gonna play at Universal Studios (so will be an hour away from Christina and Lita and all the other cool people{so close but so far away}.) and we are gonna stop by Sea World for a day( I love Shamu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is my homedog) Now I am gonna go pass out in my bed with the t.v. on( there's nothing like waking up at 6:23 am with your glasses on and the remote in your hand). Have a great time in my extended absence. |
